First Annual Fundraising Dinner

MARTINSBURG, West Virginia — The Arthur Guyton Foundation celebrated its inception at the First Annual Fundraising Dinner. More than thirty members of the community, including local physicians and leaders, gathered for a dinner at the Purple Iris in Martinsburg hosted by the foundation and sponsored by Sreemeena Enterprises. The attendees heard co-founders Varun K. Menon and Syed R. Akhtar deliver remarks launching the foundation and its mission for supporting global and local health. The evening was a fun and informative evening for all the guests as well as the organizers; in its first event, The Arthur Guyton Foundation received over $5,000 in donations and pledges for its initiative to target the enduring epidemic status of polio in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Nigeria.
